About Independence Square

Our mature and friendly swim/tennis neighborhood of 184 homes was established in the mid 1970s and is located in the heart of East Cobb close to the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and 120 Roswell Road in Cobb County, Georgia.

When you drive through the mature wooded streets of our neighborhood with lots ranging from 1/4 to approx 1 acre, a welcoming and restful atmosphere will greet you.

Independence Square is an active and social neighborhood ideally suited for families looking to move to an excellent, award winning school district with mid-priced homes convenient to I-75. We are close to churches, shopping, schools and activities for your whole family to enjoy. We enjoy living here, and we know you will too!

These exceptionally well maintained traditional homes have covenants and an active HOA board to protect your property values.

Independence Square has many amenities to benefit your family that include a swimming pool and cabana, lighted tennis courts, lighted streets and active home owners association with parties and events throughout the year catering for both families and adults.

We are a neighborhood where people take the time to get to know you and greet you in the street.

Children play in the yards, and families walk and cycle or scooter to the pool, tennis courts or to visit friends.

The tennis courts are in great condition, and they have been regularly upgraded over the years to ensure that they stay in good shape.

We have several active ALTA tennis teams playing year round, and social and pick up tennis matches are popular during the evenings and weekends.

The grill and pool deck are great places to meet and hang out with family and neighborhood friends on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The professionally managed pool is the center of social life during summer months.  The pool and surrounding area are well maintained, with a lifeguard in attendance every afternoon throughout the summer school break.

There are several well attended family pool parties throughout the summer, where neighbors get to show off their culinary skills on our updated grill, and families share favorite desserts and salads in the comfort of our well-kept pool area.

The HOA Board has worked consistently over the years to ensure that pool furniture is in good repair, and that the bathrooms are kept in great condition.

The common areas surrounding the pool and tennis courts are also professionally maintained by a landscaping company throughout the year.

We hope that you find a home that you love here in our neighborhood, and when you do, we will look forward to getting to know you, and to sharing some great memories together!
